Agro-Smart: Enhancing Direct Farmer-to-Consumer Sales with Machine Learning-Based Price Prediction and Chatbot Assistance

Most farmers face challenges in securing sustainable income. This is because they rely on middlemen, who control prices and sometimes take overwhelming commissions. Handling this challenge of removing intermediaries, our innovated web app, Agro-Smart, uses LightGBM and weather forecast models in optimizing product prices. It also embeds a chatbot for real-time support on transactions and more personalized recommendations. Built in HTML, CSS, React, Node.js, and MongoDB, Agro-Smart is a platform that places farmers in a very strong position with regard to buyers for better profitability and much more direct, fair trade within e-commerce.
