IoT Based Automatic Drainage Cleaning Robot

Drainage overflow because of many types of solid waste accumulation in the city occurs over recent periods of time, thereby resulting in the overflow of water in the given space. It then develops as a place where sick-giving insects reproduce, fungi propagates, eventually resulting in the growth of illness within human. Urbanization results in expansion of intricate drainage network that are needed for the control of storm water run of and avoiding flooding within cities. Therefore, we suggest an IoT based autonomous drainage cleaning robot using a DC motor, conveyor belt and sensor technology. The system will solve the problem of effective maintenance of drainage system by making the cleaning process automatic. A sensor is utilized in detecting the objects, which is floating over the drainage water, it assists in initiating the activation of the DC Motor that utilizes solar power and conveyor belt mechanism. The conveyor belt is driven by the DC motor, which carries the debris away from the drainage system, preventing clogging and ensuring that there is proper water flow. With the incorporation of these technologies, our system provides an effective and proactive drainage maintenance strategy, which enhances infrastructure management and environmental sustainability.
