Accident Detection Based on Iot Using Smart Helmet

The most important question of road safety concerns the fact that bikes are particularly vulnerable due to the absence of safety methods that other road transports has like seatbelts and airbags preventing from major injuries that bikes do not have which leads to more number of death by bike accident compare to other vehicles. These bikes mostly put riders at greater risk since even minor accidents may expose riders to direct impact forces, leading to serious injuries. For instance, this can happen in case of sudden collisions or skidding when the rider is thrown out of balance even for a split second, often leading to life-threatening head injuries. But it takes a fair amount of time for the emergency medical help to arrive, and the fact is, it is during those minutes post-accident that lives are saved or lost. It is those minutes, during or just post an accident, wherein timely treatment becomes most imperative. Delay in giving medical attention often increases the subsequent severity of injuries. Hence, there is an urgent need to develop well-timed emergency response systems using sensors based solution integrated in the helmet using IOT.
