Automatic Bus Route Notification System at Bus Stops Using LoRa SX 1278 and WeMos ESP 32 Modules

This research aims to develop an automatic bus route notification system at bus stops using LoRa SX 1278 and WeMos ESP32 modules. This research addresses the lack of real-time bus route information at bus stops, which often leads to passenger confusion. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) methodology, including steps such as identifying potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, and product testing. The results demonstrate that the system effectively delivers real-time bus route information at stops, with a maximum range of 100 meters using the LoRA SX 1278 module. Route information is conveyed through audio playback using DF Player Mini and Speaker and visual display on LCD. This system is expected to improve accessibility, especially for elderly passengers and those with visual or hearing impairments, reduce reliance on manual announcements, and increase efficiency and convenience for Transjakarta transportation users.
