Design and Implementation of Automatic Spray Coating Device for Photovoltaic Modules

Photovoltaic modules are exposed to the outdoor environment for extended periods. The aging and damage of their coatings have become major factors limiting the improvement of photoelectric conversion efficiency. The existing coating technology mostly adopts manual operation, which has disadvantages such as low efficiency and unstable quality control. To effectively address this issue, this study proposes a solution of coating an anti reflection film on the surface of photovoltaic modules, and develops an automatic spray coating device for photovoltaic modules. The system can autonomously control the collaborative operation of the spraying module, walking mechanism, and crawling mechanism according to the preset spraying process. The experimental results show that the developed automatic coating device can efficiently complete the automatic coating of photovoltaic modules. The maximum increase in optical transmittance of photovoltaic modules after coating can reach 2.0%. The automatic coating device effectively solves the problems of uneven film thickness, low utilization efficiency of coating solution, and high work intensity of operators in manual coating process.
