The Influence of Digital Platforms in Primary Education: A Case Study on the Participa+ Platform

The introduction of ICT in schools has contributed to an enhancement of educational methodologies that has raised the concept of digital platforms that are characterised as useful tools for accessing and planning content and establishing a space for communication between everyone. The aim of this study was to understand how the Participa+ platform influences the teaching processes of teachers of Curricular Enrichment Activities in the 1st cycle in the Municipality of Maia. This is a case study of Participa+, with data collected by means of a questionnaire survey. It was concluded that Participa+ develops technological skills in teachers and they believe that it is a tool that facilitates the creation of teaching materials, stimulating a creative spirit and autonomy. Teachers also believe that using the platform helps to increase student motivation and interest, as well as facilitating interaction between teachers and students.
