Object Recognition for the Visually Impaired Using Machine Learning

This project explores the creation of a machine object based on learning recognition system to increase accessibility for those with visual impairments. The system recognises and classifies common objects in actual time while giving the user-haptic or audio feedback using computer vision techniques, specifically convolutional neural networks (CNNs). In order to ensure a practical, user-friendly experience, the project addresses crucial issues like optimizing precision and reaction time. Since the system is designed for wearable and mobile devices, it considers user feedback and offers portability and accessibility. The proposed solution has an impact on boosting the safety and independence of impaired users enabling them to interact with their environment with more confidence.
