Design and Developement of Data Acquisition System for a Fsae car

New advances in DAQ and telemetry systems have become a primary basis for enhancing performance in FSAE vehicles. Current systems, although providing all necessary information on vehicle dynamics, are more limiting in terms of higher expenses, scalability, and integration complexity issues. It is by this regard that this work aims to propose a new, low-cost DAQ and telemetry system tailored to FSAE applications and developed by integrating different sensors into Arduino microcontrollers. It captures and transmits real-time data about the vehicles, allowing teams to monitor and analyse performance metrics efficiently. Building on previous work in hardware design, remote telemetry, and data analysis methodologies, this paper puts forth an overall framework for an economic but high-performance system. Experimental results have been generated that yield improvements over conventional alternatives in terms of data reliability, transmission velocity, and cost efficiency. The proposed methodology addresses the gap between high-function telemetry capabilities and fiscal constraints by providing a scalable framework for motorsport organizations while simultaneously allowing for potential developments within this area.
