Digital Twin Implementation for Turntable Systems in Automated Bottle Production

This paper explores the design and implementation of a digital twin for a bottle production line, focusing on the turntable system used in feeding operations. Turntables play a critical role in dispatching products one by one from bulk, and are widely used in bottle filling and capping machines. We developed a simplified 3D model of the turntable, which interacts with bottles in a simulated environment based on real-world physics. The goal was to enhance industrial automation by simulating physical interactions using advanced techniques, including C# scripting, and providing a foundation for integrating digital twins in manufacturing systems. Key experiments demonstrated the model’s ability to evaluate bottle stability under varying gravity, rotational speeds, and controlled spawning conditions, offering insights for optimizing turntable operations.
