Karnataka Malenadu Region Arecanut Leafspot Disease Severity Assessment Using Machine Learning

Leaf spot disease is mostly seen in the coastal areas like Malenadu, in which leaf spot disease more often in Sagara and Sirsi taluk of Malenadu. The main reason for leafspot disease is the fungus called Colletotrichum Gillias Paradis. It initially looks like small black spots on the leaves. Later, it spreads completely on the leaves. Then those spots spread large and spread all over the leaves. Then the leaf loses its strength and turns yellow, curls up, and spreads to other leaves. The leaf of the plant that turns yellow is destroyed, and the leaves of the plant also fall off. If this is not controlled, the plant itself will be in danger. The disease is mostly found in gardens close to the forest, so even in gardens with a cool climate, the disease is also seen more often. The fungus which severely damages areacanut, one of the india's main plantation crops In and around Shivamogga and Uttarakannada dirstrict. This disease has more severity till today, As the result that because of the fungi affected area is more than affected with severity, due to its climate condition and lack of protection for the disease.
