Evaluating the Effectiveness of Moodle Adoption at a Libyan University Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)

This study explored and evaluated the effectiveness of variables influencing students’ use of Moodle (e-learning management system) based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) at the Libyan International Medical University (LIMU) in Benghazi. Additionally, this study aimed to identify correlations between variables affecting successful Moodle adoption, specifically perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and behavioral intention based on the TAM. Using a descriptive-analytical approach with a sample of 328 students, the results revealed that perceived ease of use was strongly correlated with perceived usefulness in a statistically significant direct relationship. The findings also demonstrated that perceived usefulness had a positive and statistically significant direct relationship with behavioral intention to use Moodle. Furthermore, a positive and statistically significant correlation was found between perceived ease of use and behavioral intention. These results confirm that both perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness are positively associated with behavioral intention to use Moodle.
