Tutorial: Fundamentals of Efficient IoT Microcontrollers

“IOT microcontrollers are complex constrained SOCs with analog peripherals, DCDC converters, CPUs, accelerators, volatile/non-volatile memories, and radios ? all well represented at ISSCC. However state-of-the-art circuits do not automatically translate to a state-of-the-art system. This tutorial presents an overview of system components and their system efficiency considerations, using published systems as examples. Future trends, such as battery-free energy harvesting, will also be covered.”
