Design of Rooftop PV System and EV Supply Equipment for Home According to Electrical Installation Standards in Thailand

Currently, the installation of grid-connected rooftop PV systems to reduce electricity costs and the use of battery electric vehicles (BEV) for homes in Thailand have increased significantly as a result of the government's support for the use of clean energy. In addition, the installation standards used in Thailand have been adjusted to keep up with the development of technology in materials and equipment used in the system. This paper presents the design of a 5 kWp rooftop PV system with electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) for a 7.4 kW home charger, a single-phase system, and a 10 kWp rooftop PV system with EVSE for a 22 kW home charger, a three-phase system, respectively, according to the electrical installation standards in Thailand. The results of system design according to installation standards will be used as a guideline for system installation to ensure the safety of life and property.
