Design and Development of Dual DC motor control module for Remote tilt control of Antenna

This paper presents the design and development of a dual DC motor control module for remote antenna tilt control. Utilizing an STM32 microcontroller, the system provides precise control over motor speed and direction, ensuring accurate antenna positioning essential for optimal signal reception. The DRV8802 motor driver is employed to achieve robust performance in low-power applications, providing reliability and efficiency. The control scheme optimizes motor speed regulation through advanced algorithms, incorporating closed-loop control strategies to enhance the system's responsiveness and stability. Real-time feedback is achieved using hall-effect sensors, which offer precise measurements of motor position and speed, ensuring high accuracy in control and positioning. Power management within the system is facilitated by an efficient buck converter design, ensuring stable power supply to the motors and minimizing energy consumption. The hardware design includes protective features such as overcurrent and thermal shutdown to enhance the system's durability.The control module's effectiveness is validated through extensive simulations and practical implementations, demonstrating its capability to maintain precise and reliable antenna positioning under various operating conditions. The system's scalability and flexibility make it suitable for a wide range of applications in communication technology.
