Research on the design method of 61850 client for monitoring system of large-capacity wind and solar storage power station

In this paper, we address the monitoring system requirements for large-capacity wind and solar energy storage power stations by discussing a client design method based on the IEC 61850 standard. Initially, we employed a flow method to analyze the SCD (Substation Configuration Description) model, facilitating data modeling tailored to various device types. Building upon a distributed architecture, we implemented task allocation technology to enhance the efficiency of real-time data acquisition and control command execution. Furthermore, a load balancing strategy was introduced to optimize data processing and alleviate server load. For typical EMS (Energy Management System) applications, two group control strategies were developed: one allows a single control command to be simultaneously applied to multiple PCS (Power Conversion System) units, streamlining operations; while the other maintains precise control over individual PCS units in conventional mode. This dual-mode approach not only accelerates the system's overall response but also ensures high control precision, providing a robust technical foundation for managing and operating large-capacity renewable energy storage facilities.
