Optimizing Configuration of Mobile Power Sources to Enhance Distribution System Resilience

In recent years, frequent extreme weather events have highlighted the vulnerability of distribution systems. In response to distribution system damages caused by natural disasters such as hurricanes, allocating defense resources in the prevention response stage can effectively improve distribution systems’ ability to respond to extreme weather events. Mobile power sources (MPSs) are gradually becoming key resources for pre-disaster configuration due to their flexibility and fast response capability. However, existing configuration strategies rarely consider the mobile features of MPSs. To this end, this paper proposes a DAD (defender-attacker-defender) model that introduces movement constraints of MPSs to effectively address the impact of transportation times in MPSs movement scheduling. The model is solved by the C&CG (Column Constraint Generation) algorithm. Its effectiveness is verified on the IEEE-33 bus test system, which significantly improves the resilience of distribution systems.
