Development of Loop Closure Current Calculation and Auxiliary Discrimination System for 10 kV Urban Distribution Network

With the continuous development of society, people's demand for electricity is increasing, which leads to a greater demand for the service quality of power supply enterprises. The closed-loop power supply significantly enhances the reliability of the distribution network. The closed-loop operation of the power grid enables uninterrupted power supply, though it involves certain security risks. Currently, there is no reliable method with detailed criteria for determining closed-loop operations for distribution network dispatchers. Often, they rely on personal experience. Therefore, this paper begins with the calculation method for loop closure current, considering constraints like bearing capacity, and integrates theoretical analysis with power flow calculation to develop an auxiliary discrimination system for loop closure operations. In the "new generation of distribution automation master station system," real-time SCADA data acquisition allows the calculation and verification of impact and steady-state currents during loop closure operations, facilitating early warning analysis. Test results indicate that the system offers a theoretical basis and decision support for loop closure operations in 10 kV urban networks.
