Flexibility Retrofit Time Series Planning for Multiple Generation Resources Considering Complementary Wind-PV-Coal-Storage Characteristics

The synergistic development of coal power with new energy and energy storage is an important path for the low-carbon transformation of China's energy and power industry. In order to achieve the optimization path of coal power retrofit and new energy and storage planning, this paper proposes a method of multi-resources flexibility retrofit time series model based on the complementary characteristics of wind-PV-coal-storage to achieve the improvement of system’s operation flexibility. Firstly, a multi-resources flexibility supply model on the power generation side and system flexibility evaluation indicators is constructed. Secondly, based on the complementary characteristic of wind, PV, coal and storage, a multi-resources collaborative planning and retrofit time series model is built. The case simulation is based according to the actual scene of the Ningxia region, and obtains the collaborative optimization results of the multi-resource retrofit time series. The proposed method is verified to be effective, and a planning scheme that considers system’s flexibility and economy is obtained.
