Automatic Topology Identification Technology for Distribution Systems Based on the Internet of Things

With the construction of smart grids, traditional distribution networks face the demand for new energy access and "re electrification", and the integration of information flow and power flow is insufficient, making it difficult to meet the needs of ubiquitous interconnection and collaborative autonomy. This article proposes an automatic topology identification technology for distribution systems based on the Internet of Things. Firstly, the cloud edge collaborative interaction technology was adopted to achieve the interaction between the terminal and the distribution main station, and the automatic association of primary and secondary devices was achieved through plug and play technology. Secondly, by utilizing the sequential closing and power transmission characteristics of intelligent distribution equipment, combined with key technologies such as time synchronization and current surge detection, the precise identification and dynamic updating of the distribution network topology structure were achieved, and the current surge was calculated for verification. Finally, automatic mapping technology was applied to achieve automatic perception and modeling of the distribution network. Simulation results show that this technology provides a comprehensive and feasible solution for IoT perception modeling in distribution networks, which helps to improve the intelligence level and operation efficiency of distribution networks.
