Stress Analysis and Dynamic Performance Study for Insulated Pull Rod of GIS

GIS is the key part of the new power system and the key of energy transmission. Insulating pull rods are an important structure of high-voltage GIS equipment and perform important electrical and mechanical functions. The force characteristics of insulating tie rods and the stress characteristics during dynamic processes are analyzed in this paper. The stroke curve and mechanical curve during the GIS closing and opening process are measured and counted. And based on the test platform of this article, a real-type tie rod was tested for dynamic performance. The results showed that the tensile and compressive loads were higher when the GIS was opened. The tensile strain and compressive strain of the tie rod during the opening stage are higher than those during the closing stage. The strain distribution of the tie rod is not uniform, and the maximum strain occurs at the interface between the metal and the tie rod. The results of this article can provide experimental reference for the design and optimization of GIS tie rod structure.
