Exploring Coexistence of Digital Terrestrial Television and IMT Within 470-690 MHz Band: A Comprehensive Survey

In recent years, the increasing demand for mobile services has necessitated the exploration of new frequency bands to support the growth of the international mobile telecommunications (IMT) system. This article investigates the coexistence of digital terrestrial television (DTT) and IMT within the 470–690 MHz band, commonly referred to digital dividend (DD) bands. The study provides a comprehensive state-of-the-art analysis of existing literature on this topic, focuses on addressing the challenges, explores mitigation strategies to facilitate the harmonious coexistence of diverse services, and highlights potential avenues for future research. The outcomes of this paper aim to contribute to the ongoing international efforts that allow coexistence between different services and promote sustainable network advancement.
