The Synergy of Autoencoders and Electronic Health Records for Improved Patient Care

Electronic health records have progressively replaced paper health records as a method of maintaining a competitive edge in the healthcare industry. Medical workers, including doctors and nurses, are responsible for establishing and maintaining electronic health records (EHRs) to guarantee the updating of patient information. These files include records such as diagnoses, prescriptions, treatment plans, imaging studies, test results, allergy information, and financial information. Electronic health records show potential for enhancing patient safety, treatment, engagement, and care coordination. Despite these advantages, the amount and complexity of the information included in electronic health records may be overwhelming. Researchers may employ unstructured data, such as clinical notes, in their study, although statistics and classifications are more often used. This large amount of data raises a variety of basic administrative and comprehension challenges. To address these difficulties, we must employ certain equipment and techniques. Machine learning has fundamentally altered the healthcare industry over the past ten years by delivering answers to challenges such as diagnosis, outcome prediction, treatment plan development, and population management. Machine learning enabled these breakthroughs. EHRs might benefit from new patterns, linkages, and insights provided by machine learning algorithms. The healthcare system may undergo significant changes if highly proficient computers trained on massive amounts of data can spot patterns, forecast outcomes, and make suggestions. Autoencoders may improve electronic health records' readability. The data display is more accurate, but it has less visibility. This might lead to an excellent EHR for patient grouping and other uses. We group data sets from electronic health records according to common characteristics. This category may contain patients' medical histories, treatment outcomes, and prognosis. With autoencoders, doctors may be able to better target specific patient groups, adapt therapy, and predict outcomes. We can do this by improving clustering efficiency. This work presents autoencoders for classifying data from electronic health records. The study's findings show that autoencoders might improve clinical judgment and allow for more personalized therapy. Because of deep learning and the huge amounts of data included in electronic health records, efficiency and quality of life in a constantly developing healthcare system are improved.
