Hybrid Weather Station and Solar Tracking System for Renewable Energy Optimization

The suggested technology increases solar energy collecting efficiency by combining dual-axis sun tracking with weather monitoring. To maximise sunshine exposure all during the day, the system automatically orient solar panels along the azimuth (horizontal) and elevation (vertical) axes. An Arduino microcontroller forms the core control unit by processing real-time data from environmental sensors like DHT11 (Temperature and Humidity) and Rain Sensors. Furthermore, utilized to detect the strength of the sunlight and modify the location of the solar panel are light-dependent resistors (LDRs). Servo motors run the tracking system; they enter sleep mode while solar intensity stays constant, lowering power usage. A 12V battery charging mechanism is also part of the system to save the created electricity for continuous running. Offering an 8% energy efficiency gain and operating cost savings, the twin-axis solar tracker significantly boosts energy production over fixed solar panels, according to trial data. This study emphasizes the possibility of using intelligent control systems and renewable energy technology for environmentally friendly purposes.
