Fabrication and Performance Analysis of Perovskite Solar Cells for High Energy Conversion

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have drawn interest as an affordable substitute for traditional photovoltaics; nevertheless, large-scale implementation is hampered by problems like stability, charge recombination, and inconsistent manufacture. With its advantageous optoelectronic characteristics, BaZrS₃ is a promising chalcogenide perovskite for next-generation solar applications. In order to evaluate its potential, a BaZrS₃-based solar cell is simulated using Silvaco software, which optimizes charge transport and photon absorption within an ITO/NiO/BaZrS₃/ZnO/Al structure. The design and manufacture of PSCs are examined in this work, with an emphasis on improving charge extraction through precisely tailored electron and hole transport layers and reducing charge recombination to increase stability and efficiency. Current-voltage tests and other electrical characterisation assess the device's overall performance, stability, and power conversion efficiency. The suggested manufacturing process contributes to more dependable solar cells by ensuring film homogeneity, increasing efficiency, and improving charge transport. Furthermore, study confirms the viability of chalcogenide perovskite for upcoming photovoltaic applications and offers insightful information for improving large-scale PSC manufacture.
