Fire Extinguishing Robot using IoT

This project aims to design and develop an autonomous robot that can detect and extinguish fires in real time. The system integrates an ESP32 microcontroller as the central processing unit an ESP32-CAM module for video streaming and advanced fire detection, and multiple sensors including a flame sensor for fire detection and an ultrasonic sensor for obstacle avoidance. A servo motor and water pump are employed for directional control and water pump are employed for directional control and water dispensing, respectively. The robot operates by continuously scanning its environment using the flame sensor. Upon detecting a fire, the system activates the water pump and adjusts the servo motor to aim the water jet at the flame. The ultrasonic sensor ensures that the robot can navigate around obstacles and reach the target efficiently. The ESP32-CAM adds an optional layer of functionality by providing live video feed for remote monitoring or enabling image -based fire detection through AI models. This compact, cost-effective, and versatile system is designed to enhance fire safety in residential, industrial, and commercial settings by providing rapid response and reducing human intervention in hazardous situations.
