Classifying Immature fruit Using Brewster’s Angle

This paper presents a nondestructive technique to classify immature fruits. An identification methodology is based on Brewster’s angle to determine the stage of maturity of a fruit, which can be obtained from angle of incidence where the least reflection occurs. In addition, Brewster’s angle technique is applied with dual frequency system. The simulation results show that Brewster’s angle changes with the stage of maturity of the fruit.
