Theoretical Calculation and Study of Multi-Conductor Transmission Line Equation in Lightning Field

The amplitude of lightning overvoltage on overhead power line of communication station can be up to 100kV, which is the main way to lead lightning into the room. In order to study the lightning protection measures of overhead power lines and seek more effective protection methods, the shielding effect of overhead ground wires on power lines is studied through theoretical calculation and analysis of multi-conductor transmission line equations in external field. The equivalent circuit diagram of the multi-conductor transmission line equation in the lightning field is given. The results show that the action of overhead ground wire is obvious and can effectively prevent the damage of lightning wave.
