Automatic Back-Wash Filtering System Using PLC

This proposed work outlines the design, development, and deployment of an PLC-based automatic back-wash filtering system tailored for filtering system in industries. The proposed work addresses the need for efficiency and accuracy in filtering operations by leveraging the versatility and affordability of PIC-PLC microcontrollers. The project aims to improve industrial water management by designing an Automatic Back-Wash Filtering System with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to automate the back washing process of filters. The system uses flow sensors to control water flow and filter condition, enabling the back-washing process to be set automatically when needed. This automation makes the system more efficient, reliable, and reduced worker needs. The proposed solution aims to enhance industrial filtration procedures, reduce manufacturing disturbances, and lower maintenance costs, resulting in healthier industrial water management. The system will also reduce the cost of maintenance and human errors, ensuring a more efficient and sustainable water supply. Industries use large amounts of water for cleaning and cooling processes, which can be recycled through filtration. Conventional purification techniques involve frequent cleanings, increasing labor requirements, maintenance expenses, and human error.
