Design and Development of Smart Seed Dispenser for Efficient Cultivation

The advancement in technology gifted the cultivation sector of agriculture field with many automation systems. In smart cultivation, the efficiency of cultivation could be improved with a seed dispenser system. Seed dispenser plays a vital role in productive cultivation of crops in the farming field at any weather. The smart seed dispenser aims to reduce the human effort, time, and labor cost of cultivation while simultaneously increasing the productivity and efficiency of farming. This work delves into the design and development of a prototype of a seed dispenser system on top of a mobile controlled vehicle. The designed system can autonomously perform the tasks of plowing, sowing and levelling in the agricultural field. It is observed that uniformity in seed size enhances both the consistency and effectiveness of the dispensing rate. Practical analysis of the designed prototype is performed to dispense the seed remotely using smartphone. The results demonstrate improved accuracy, time efficiency, and overall effectiveness in cultivation compared to conventional techniques.
