Novel Multilevel Inverter Based on New Subcell with Reduced Switches

Multilevel inverters have been highlighted as a key element of renewable energy systems. In this study, a novel subcell for constructing a new multilayer inverter is first introduced. The proposed inverter has both one-directional and two-directional switches in addition to DC power sources. The modular construction increases the production levels by connecting the proposed cells in sequence. This design uses a small quantity of IGBTs, drivers, and DC voltage sources to maximize output. To demonstrate the advantages of this topology, the quantity of electrical devices in this structure is contrasted with those in other topologies. This illustrates that the recommended design requires the fewest gadgets. Experimental findings and real-world testing utilizing the suggested cell validate the efficacy of this structure. The nearest level modulation controls the switches.
