Efficient Residual Chlorine Tracking and Automated Neutralization System

In industrial applications, seawater is frequently utilized as a heat source for gasification, necessitating chlorination to prevent microbial fouling of equipment. However, leftover residual chlorine poses a risk of marine pollution. This design outlines an STM32 microcontroller-based automatic system for monitoring and neutralizing residual chlorine. The system continuously tracks chlorine levels and autonomously administers sodium sulfite to neutralize excess chlorine. The hardware integrates modules for residual chlorine detection, flow rate measurement of the metering pump, motor driving, and signal conversion. The software framework includes systems for regulating chlorine concentration, monitoring pump flow rates, and controlling motor operations. Tests validate that all modules perform well, ensuring the system runs smoothly, efficiently manages residual chlorine, and safeguards the marine ecosystem.
