Economic Justification of a Comprehensive Helio-Thermal Station

This paper presents a techno-economic evaluation of solar tower power plants (STPPs). It examines both fixed and variable costs, the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE), and the impact of global trends on the declining cost of renewable electricity generation. Calculations for capital investments, operating costs, and economic efficiency are presented for three variants of STPPs. A comparison with conventional energy sources is made, identifying key factors affecting the competitiveness of renewable energy sources, including the thermal energy storage system (TES). The analysis reveals that the optimal variant is an STPP with minimal LCOE and a payback period of 9 years. The results confirm the potential for using solar tower power plants in the Republic of Tajikistan.
