Development of a Bench for Automated Amplitude Measuring of Ultrasound Surgical Systems

The application of ultrasound surgery in modern medicine is extensive, and the amplitude of ultrasound oscillations is a significant parameter in this context. The measurement of amplitude is a crucial task, as it affects the efficiency of the ultrasound surgical oscillatory system (USOS) on biological tissue. Existing methods for measuring the amplitude of USOS oscillations are manual, which results to a high error rate and decrease measurement speed. In addressing this challenge, a novel approach has been proposed, which aims to enhance and automate the optical method for measuring the amplitude of USOS oscillations. This approach involves the development of a positioning bench for the USOS and the creation of software that ensures an average amplitude measurement error of 5 µm, The effectiveness of this method is demonstrated by its ability to reduce USOS oscillations measurement time and minimizes errors related to human factors.
