Exploring the Impact of Rainfall Variable on Arecanut Yield Production in Karnataka

Rainfall has a significant impact on the growth and productivity of plantation crops. Although arecanut can grow in a variety of climates, rainfall has a significant effect on crop production. The aim of this study is to examine the impact of the rainfall component on arecanut yield output utilising historical yield and rainfall data from Karnataka. Over 10 years of rainfall and arecanut production data from ten different districts of Karnataka were collected and analysed to examine the actual impact. The positive correlation between yield and rainfall parameter indicated the strong dependency of yield on external parameter. The results of the study show a strong association between variation in actual rainfall rate and its impact on arecanut yield rate.
