Comparative Analysis of Regenerative Braking Systems

Regenerative braking systems (RBS) are critical components of advanced electric vehicle (EV) architecture and energy management systems. RBS also conserves energy because kinetic energy is converted into electrical energy when one is braking as opposed to depending on charging infrastructure to power the trams. On electric bikes (ebikes), thus, slope and linear motion affect RBS performance of a bike. Analysis for its efficiency examines obstacles like gravitational grading, air drag, rolling resistance, slip resistance, suspension, resisting brakes or acceleration resistance. Doing this enables a test of RBS functionality across these terrains as if other forces are an extension of this one. Nonlinear state variables such as State of charge (SOC) of the battery and the braking torque are employed to evaluate energy recovering efficiency. Self-regenerative braking is explored in further detail as to how it improves the vehicle mileage by methodically recycling kinetic energy into the battery to improve the vehicle's performance and alleviate stress on the mechanical braking system. In addition, energy dissipation through regenerative braking boosts sustainable automotive innovation as it helps determine the efficiency of the energy usage for operation of Electric Vehicles. As a result, RBS helps to enhance the quality of electricity usage, contribute to the further e-bike advancements, support the environmentally friendly transport, and minimize expenditure, which makes RBS a foundation for innovative Electric Mobility. Analyzing the effect is forces acting on a body at a given time at a given terrain, finding the energy regenerated in each scenario and comparing them would the objective of this research.
