Performance Analysis of Off-board Fast Charging DC-DC Converter Regulated by Fuzzy Logic Controller

with the shift toward clean energy sources, battery charging for electric vehicles is becoming increasingly significant, especially with the growing focus on clean energy use. A primary challenge in EV charging is reducing charging time. Fast charging, paired with an effective DC-DC converter, addresses this issue. Achieving optimal performance requires a suitable controller for the converter. This paper outlines the design process of a Fuzzy Logic Controller for the DC-DC converter in EV charging applications. The proposed controller is a precise and reliable approach for the system in focus. MATLAB simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the designed constant controller for fast EV charging applications.
