A Novel Approach for Translating Kharosthi Script Text Into Pali Language

Archaeology relies on identifying and classifying ancient artifacts, especially those with inscriptions in languages like Pali. Pali is an ancient Prakrit language with a rich literary tradition and knowledge base. While Pali-to-English dictionaries exist, there is currently no available dictionary or translation system for translating other scripts into Pali. The Kharosthi script is primarily used for translating the Pali language. This research aims to develop an automated system for translating Kharosthi script text into Pali. The system is designed to assist in understanding the contents of the Kharosthi script. The study involves extensive research on the Kharosthi script text of the Pali language and the relevant linguistic rules. The paper proposes a mapping system for translating Kharosthi script text into the Pali language.
