Smart Charging Techniques for Intelligent EV System:An Overview

This study presents a review of charging methods of Intelligent Electric vehicles along with market trends involved. To promote the use of electric transit, it is required to develop a variety of charging networks in a user-friendly environment. Electric vehicles (EVs) can be charged wirelessly without an outlet with help of wireless electric vehicle charging devices (WEVCS). Over the last two decades, significant study has been conducted in the creation of efficient EV charging techniques. This report provides an overview of the current wireless power transfer technology for EVs. It also provides a thorough analysis of EV-specific wireless charging topologies. The market situation, both globally and in India, is also addressed. The development of wireless charging for EVs has already begun by companies like Tesla, BMW, and Nissan. A comparative analysis of market trends EV charger manufacturers is done in terms of output current and voltage, efficiency, power factor, operating temperature etc.
