A Novel Paradigm for Wireless Two-Wheel Ride-Hailing through Motorcycle Ad-hoc Networks

This research introduces a novel classification within wireless ad-hoc networks by proposing the Motorcycle Ad-hoc Network (MOCANET). Unlike existing classifications such as Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANET), Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANET), Flying Ad-hoc Networks (FANET), and Sea Ad-hoc Networks (SANET), MOCANET emerges as a distinct category, specifically tailored for two-wheel ride-hailing services. This paper meticulously evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of each wireless ad-hoc network category, emphasizing the need for a specialized classification like MOCANET to address the unique requirements of two-wheel ride-hailing. To assess the feasibility of MOCANET, we conducted a Proof of Concept (POC) utilizing software-based simulators, including SUMO for traffic modeling and NS2 for network analysis. The results affirm the viability of MOCANET, showcasing its potential to revolutionize wireless communication in the context of two-wheel ride-hailing services.
