An Augmented Reality-Based Hazardous Waste Management Learning System : A Case Study of Elementary School Students in Chiang Rai Province

This research applies augmented reality (AR) technology to enhance learning and understanding of hazardous waste separation, while raising awareness of the dangers, particularly primary school students. These students, as users, often dispose of waste without knowing whether it is hazardous or not, and they lack an understanding of proper waste separation and disposal processes. Recognizing this issue, the researchers aim to develop AR-based educational media for waste management, using animation to convey knowledge and content in a virtual environment. The goal is to align the educational content with the learners' needs while engaging them effectively. This study also evaluates the efficiency of the developed learning system by collecting data from actual users to assess both the effectiveness of the media and user satisfaction, providing insights for further development.
