Enhancing Social and Economic Well-being through Smart Farming: A Case Study in Pa-Laew Pak Dee Dee, Nan, Thailand

This research examines the challenges and opportunities facing elderly farmers in rural Nan Province. Using a qualitative approach, the study explores retirement plans, the state of the agricultural sector, and the potential of smart agriculture. Findings highlight the need for policies supporting both elderly farmers while attracting younger generations to agriculture. The study recommends strategies to promote wider adoption of smart agriculture in remote areas, addressing challenges in the domain of irrigation, declining farming capabilities, and cost.
