Mitigation of Circulating Currents in Parallel-Connected Solar PV Inverters: Real-Time Implementation and Analysis

The integration of multiple solar photovoltaic (PV) inverters in parallel configurations holds immense potential for enhancing power generation efficiency and system reliability. However, the parallel connection of inverters introduces challenges such as high-frequency circulating currents, which can adversely affect system performance and component longevity. This work presents a comprehensive study focused on real-time implementation, analysis and mitigation of circulating current issues in parallel-connected solar PV inverters. Through detailed analysis and experimental validation, the work identifies key problems associated with inverter paralleling and explores various strategies for mitigating of circulating currents. The findings provide valuable insights for improving the operation and reliability of parallel-connected solar PV systems, thereby facilitating the widespread adoption of renewable energy technologies.
