Battery-Powered Current Regulated Automotive LED Driver

This Paper describes battery-powered wide input voltage range automotive LED drivers which are used in modern lighting applications like automobiles. It has to provide stable illumination despite fluctuations in input voltage. The main objective is to develop and implement such a driver with an ability to regulate LED current for a wide input voltage range. The proposed driver circuit combines buck-boost and LC series resonant converter configurations. This design is integrated with a hybrid modulation technique that utilizes both PWM (pulse width modulation) and PSC (phase shift control) or PWM and PFM (pulse frequency modulation), to enable effective regulation of LED current for different variations of input voltages. The proposed work is implemented using MATLAB-SIMULINK and results are tested with hardware implementation.
