Design and monitoring of 36V 7.5AH Lithium-ion Battery Pack for Electric Bi-cycle

The demand for efficient and reliable energy storage systems has seen a significant surge with the increasing adoption of electric vehicles, renewable energy sources, and portable electronic devices. The faults occurring batteries of these vehicles are also increasing. This paper focuses on the comprehensive design and monitoring aspects of a battery pack to address the challenges associated with maximizing performance, ensuring safety, and prolonging the overall lifespan of the battery system. The design phase involves the selection and integration of individual battery cells, considering factors such as energy density, power density, thermal management, and overall pack architecture. The paper explores temperature monitoring (DS18B20), Speed monitoring (Hall sensor), and voltage monitoring to optimize the overall efficiency, stores the data in a memory card with help of SD card module and prevent issues like thermal runaway and capacity fade. The NRF24L01 wireless transmission module and the NEO-6M GPS module may work together to effectively track the location of a bicycle. When combined, these devices allow the bicycle's location to be tracked in real time. Location data is gathered by the NEO-6M GPS module and wirelessly sent via the NRF24L01 module. Applications like as bicycle route tracking, theft prevention, and bicycle usage monitoring for logistical or fitness reasons are where this system works.
