Design and Implementation of a Mobile App for Recreational Suitability Analysis of Beach Locations in India

This study focuses on the development of a smartphone application that use the INCOIS (Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services) API to provide real-time information associated with the degree of suitability and safety in the beaches. An important objective of this study is to help visiting tourists in India by providing information regarding weather forecasts, water quality, and warnings regarding the hazards at the coastal regions. It offers real-time alerts, support for multiple languages, and access even if the user is not connected to the internet with modern mobile development frameworks like Flutter and React Native in combination with Python and Node.js in the backend. The outcome of the initiative would be that safety to both the tourist and the authorities would be enhanced besides overall improvement in beach experience.
