An Arc Welding Module of Automatic Equipment for Tubular Terminal with Precise Energy Control Technology Based on PWM

In order to improve construction efficiency and reduce safety hazards, Zhuhai Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid has initiated the development and research project of a portable fully automatic construction equipment based on advanced motion control technology for wire stripping, tin dipping, and terminal crimping. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new spot hot penetration welding technology developed in this equipment. This technology uses PWM to precisely control the energy of the ZVS are generator in automation equipment, precisely controls the heating point, and uses arc welding to spot melt the tin inside the tubular terminal. This technology can achieve precise energy control and rapid internal welding for different types of terminals, moreover can protects the insulating sleeve of terminal from thermal deformation during the tin melting of arc welding process in the new equipment.
