Introduction to DSS System for Smart Cities

Summary

The smart city infrastructures meet new difficulties to enhance the consistency and the sustainability of facilities for the resident and have additional characters to help the ecosystem of the urban sector to adaptively configure according to collected knowledge may, therefore, not be ads. In this context, Decision Support Systems (DSS) recently became increasingly relevant. It consists of a smart decision support system for smart city based on the development of the model of the analytical hierarchical process integrated into the logic representation system. A basic example of using the Convolutionary Neural Network (CNN), which can be used for automatic fire detection to provide a suitable reaction, has also been developed. In order to find flaws, minimize risks, and establish tighter security measures than are already in place to deter cyberattacks, this scheme would propose linking to Open‐Source Intelligence (OSINT). The DSS components provide strategic, logistical and organizational decision makers with the resources they need to schedule and complete the collection of projects necessary to create a smart town and/or smart house. DSS is positioned to be a unique benefit as a constantly evolving tool to prepare and complete the exponential growth, both “IT, Cloud Computing, the web‐based stuff, everything‐as‐a‐service (XaaS) and the development of new mathematical models, artificial intelligence and data storage.” This chapter presents decisions, decision modeling and decision management principles, support mechanisms for decision making, and collaborative systems, as well as how they can assist in a planning initiative in the smart city.
