System Aspects of Multichannel Fiber Applications in Optical Transport Networks

The generalizing indicators of the use of optical more than one in transport fibers with the number of spatial channels of transports telecommunication networks for the perspective period 2030–2035 are investigated in the article. Fiber, cable and relevant equipment are considered as a unified systematic complex. In the article the quality of fibers is compared with their efficiency, as long as the effectiveness of the “achieved - required” result type and the type of “result - resource” is evaluated. The concept of ensuring the optimal use of multi-channel fibers in telecommunications transport is selected in the form of quality optimization. The values of the system parameters for the dimensions of the optical fiber shell for the 125 μm and 250 μm are calculated, the number of spatial channels 1–64, modulation formats DP-GPSK, DP-16QAM, DP-64QAM.
