Solar-Powered Dynamic Wireless Charging for Electric Vehicle

Solar-powered dynamic wireless charging (DWC) technology for electric vehicles (EVs) represents a groundbreaking advancement aimed at improving the convenience and efficiency of EV charging. This system proposes an innovative system that employs inductive coils and an Arduino microcontroller to facilitate seamless power transfer without needing physical connections. The system harnesses solar energy to power a primary charging coil embedded in the roadway, allowing vehicles equipped with receiving coils to charge while in motion. This research study aims to addresses key challenges, including optimizing charging times and improving power transmission efficiency, using high-frequency coils and advanced power management techniques. A prototype has been developed and tested, demonstrating effective energy transfer over an 8 cm air gap with a sliding distance of 10 cm. The system not only supports sustainability by reducing dependence on fossil fuels but also incorporates safety features, such as object detection, to prevent unauthorized usage. By ensuring compatibility with various EV models and adaptability to emerging standards, this technology offers a future-proof solution tailored to the evolving demands of the electric vehicle market. Further research and development are essential to enhance system performance and promote wider adoption within the electric vehicle industry.
