Cooperative Self-response Control Strategy of Electric Energy Storage and SVG Based on Transient Overvoltage Suppression

Large-scale new energy is an important part of new energy consumption through long-distance transmission of UHVDC. However, when a bipolar blocking fault occurs in UHVDC, it will cause a large surge of transient voltage in the AC power grid at the DC sending end, which seriously affects the safe operation of the AC power grid at the DC sending end. Although the DC feeder grid has been put into operation with large-capacity energy storage plant and SVG, the control of transient over-voltage still fails to achieve the desired effect. For this reason, this paper firstly analyzes the transient over-voltage caused by double-pole blocking of UHVDC feeder AC grid, studies the response control characteristics of electric energy storage and SVG to the transient voltage; sets up the self-response synergistic threshold of electric energy storage and SVG to cope with the transient over-voltage, and based on this, puts forward the self-response synergistic control strategy of electric energy storage and SVG to cope with the transient over-voltage; and finally, verifies the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy in this paper by simulation. Finally, simulation verifies the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
